Accomplishments

– Golf Cart Ordinance –

An HCF Board Member is he architect of the proposal to approve limited use of electric cars for local trips. The city of Spokane Ordinance will bridge the mobility gap between pedestrians and vehicles, bicycles or transit, which enhances both the human and the built environment.


– Donations are accepted to defray maintenance and replacement.


– The provision of the use of a step-van for various neighborhood and community events.


– Hillyard Community Futures ( HCF ) maintains an office and presence on market street in the Historic Hillyard business district to be more accessible to both residents and merchants.


-A variety of fund raisers were held to benefit the community:

*$1,000 T-Shirt raffle
*Artwork raffles from two accomplished artists.


– The annual Hot Rod Parade and Show & Shine, which follows the festival Hi-Jinx parade on the first saturday in August, is in cooperation with, The Gents Auto Club and the Historic Hillyard Merchants Committee
